Sugar. It was the very thing that brought ecstasy, bliss, and potential death in three easy forms. Banned from almost every corner of Glëndir, this drug destroys lives. No one knows the exact ingredients, but vampire blood is definitely in there. They say Sugar makes you travel on a high of heroin and ecstasy with a heavy dose of a sugar rush, plus the power and strength of a vampire. Or at least a half breed one. It is a dangerous drug, and extremely addictive. It's the leading cause of death among drug-addicts. It can even kill an immortal being, if too much is ingested.

In the midst of the Silent War, Sugar has been appearing everywhere, and everyone wants to try it. Mortals and immortals alike are fast becoming addicted because of the power and seeming invincibility it creates. And there is no one there to stop them. Dusk to Dawn is the number one place to get Sugar, and you can bet that it's being sold there right now. How many people are going to die from this craze?

The Council is fast on trail of where this stuff is coming from, and how it's being sold here. Their number one suspect: The Underground. Velvet, Tsarina of Imôtl'n Council, is looking to shut that place down, but she needs the arm power, and muscle, to help her do so. Or will Imôtl just be another barren wasteland of drug addicts and corpses?

The lands of Imôtl have not recovered from the Daemon war, and in fact, now with all the farmers off dipping their fingers in the Sugar bowl, the province is becoming worse off. Crops that could have survived, are left to wilt and die. The meat crops are dying even faster, with the diseases that still plague the air. Some species of wildlife have turned on one another, filled with clouded minds and insatiable appetites. The wildlife are turning into cannibals.

All the while people are distracting themselves with a drug that will kill them. Covens are still falling apart. The Covenant's mother, Culte Empire, has made itself known in these parts, and Midian's fear of losing everything has become even more real. The Aristocracy is waiting for their perfect opportunity to strike. As the days continue to grow darker, the same question has been on everyone's mind: Will this be the end of life as we know it?
